  • Hearing on Customs and Border Protection Oversight:  The House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight, Management, and Accountability has scheduled a hearing for this week titled, "Business as Usual? Assessing How DHS Can Resume Operations Safely."  The hearing is scheduled for 12:00 Noon EDT on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, in Room 310 of the Cannon House Office Building.. 
Anticipated Witnesses:  Scheduled to testify at the hearing are Everett Kelley, National President of the American Federation of Government Employees; and Anthony M. Reardon, National President of the National Treasury Employees Union.

  • Hearing on Worker/Family Tax Relief During COVID-19:  The House Ways and Means Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee has scheduled a hearing for this week titled, "Tax Relief to Support Workers and Families during the COVID-19 Recession..  The hearing is scheduled for 12:00 Noon EDT on Thursday, June 18, 2020.  It will be conducted remotely over the interrnet. 
Anticipated Witnesses:  The witness list for the hearing includes ​Amy Matsui, Senior Counsel, The National Women’s Law Center; Indivar Dutta-Gupta, Co-Executive Director, Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality at the Georgetown University Law Center; Allison Bovell-Ammon, Director of Policy Strategy for Children's HealthWatch at Boston Medical Center; Martha Rodriguez, Preschool educator, Renton, WA; and Kyle Pomerleau, Resident fellow, American Enterprise Institute (AEI).
