- House Floor Consideration of Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019: The full House of Representatives this week is scheduled to take up H.R. 21, a measure providing full-year appropriations for fiscal year 2019 for eight departments of government, including the Departments of Justice and Department of State. Floor action on the measure is expected to occur sometime after 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
Summary of Immigration Provisions. The measure contains the texts of the 115th Congress's Senate Appropriations Committee-Reported versions of six FY '19 Appropriations bills,
From an immigration and refugee perspective, it contains the texts of the Senate Appropriations Committee-reported versions of the FY '19 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill and FY '19 Sate, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Bill.
At the time of this writing, the text of the measure had been released but it had not yet been introduced.
Outlook. The House is almost certain to pass the measure. However, at the time of this writing, it was highly unlikely that the Senate would take it up.
- House Floor Consideration of FY '19 Department of Homeland Security Continuing Appropriations Resolution: The full House of Representatives this week is scheduled to take up H.J. Res. 1, a measure providing continuing appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security through February 8, 2018.. Floor action on the measure is expected to occur sometime after 12:00 Noon EST on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
Summary of Immigration Provisions. The measure would continue through February 8, 2019, the fiscal year 2018 level of funding for the Department of Homeland Security,
